Treatments

 IPL / Intense Pulsed Light:

It is a technology used to treat skin conditions such as pigmentation, redness, unwanted hair and to carry out photorejuvenation. It selectively targets structures such as melanin and blood vessels, while also stimulating collagen production to rejuvenate the skin and improve its texture and tone. Although it is often referred to as “IPL laser”, it is different, as it uses multiple wavelengths rather than a single one, making it more versatile and less aggressive than some lasers.

Nd:YAG Q-Switched Laser:

It is a medical aesthetic laser device that emits very short, high-energy light pulses to fragment pigments in the skin. It is mainly used to remove tattoos, pigmentation (such as freckles and lentigines) and pigmented lesions, as well as for facial rejuvenation (carbon peel) and hair removal. It works using different wavelengths, allowing it to treat a variety of colours and depths effectively.

CO₂ Laser:

The CO₂ laser is a technology that uses carbon dioxide to emit light pulses that resurface the skin by removing damaged tissue and stimulating collagen production, resulting in smoother, firmer and younger-looking skin. It is ideal for treating wrinkles, scars, pigmentation and improving overall skin texture. Its fractional version, the most commonly used, works with microscopic thermal dots, leaving healthy skin between the treated areas to allow for faster recovery.

Vaginal CO₂ Laser:

It is a minimally invasive medical technology that uses fractional laser light to stimulate the regeneration of vaginal tissue, promoting the production of collagen and elastin. This improves elasticity, hydration and firmness, and helps relieve issues such as dryness, laxity, pain during sexual intercourse (dyspareunia) and mild urinary incontinence, especially after menopause or childbirth.

Varicose Vein Sclerotherapy:

Varicose vein sclerosis (or sclerotherapy) is a non-surgical medical treatment that involves injecting a substance directly into the varicose vein to irritate its lining, causing inflammation, closure and its gradual disappearance. It is ideal for treating spider veins, reticular veins and small-calibre varicose veins, does not require surgery or downtime, and is carried out in outpatient sessions with progressive results.

Micropigmentation:

Facial micropigmentation is important because it enhances, balances and corrects facial features (lips, eyebrows, eyeliner, etc.). At Clínica Belmed, we feel very fortunate to have Andrea Evlampiev on our team.
